A 9 years old boy was detected to be HIV infected in 2008. He was started on antiretroviral therapy (ART) consisting of stavudine (d4T), lamivudine (3TC) and nevirapine (NVP). He was alright till February 2013 when he was detected to have MDR pulmonary TB. CD4 count was 254 cells/cumm and HIV viral load was was 23,000 copies/ml. ART was shifted to tenofovir (TDF), emtricitabine and atazanavir-ritonavir. Anti-tuberculous therapy consisted of ethambutol, ofloxacin, PAS, Ethionamide, Cycloserine and kanamycin. On follow up after 2 months, HIV viral load was 87 copies/ml.
