A 9 years old HIV infected girl presented with multiple joint pains for 1 week and fever for 3 days. On examination, she had bilateral ankle and right wrist swelling with painful movements. However, there was no restriction of movements. ESR was 98 mm at end of 1 hour, RA factor, ANA were negative. Subsequently patient developed fleeting joint pains and ankle and wrist joints normalized and pain and swelling in left knee appeared. Echocardiography was normal. CD4 count was 324 (12.3%) with CD4:CD8 of 0.26. Joint pains subsided within next 15 days of treatment.
